Grief, Loss & Bereavement
The goal of grief counselling is to help you regain a sense of self, find purpose, and adjust to life after loss. While you will never stop missing the person or your life before, grief counselling supports you in finding a new normal, helping you to cope with the loss while learning how to experience joy and meaning in life again.
Grief and loss can affect us in deep and unexpected ways, touching the core of who we are and impacting both emotional and physical well-being. You may feel fatigue, difficulty sleeping, changes in appetite, or even physical aches and pains. These are all natural responses to the strain that loss places on our bodies and minds.
Grief can often feel like being swept up in the force of a powerful wave, sometimes overwhelming and knocking us off balance. One moment you may feel calm, and the next you're overcome by shock, sadness, anger, or confusion. These shifting emotions are a natural part of the grieving process. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and everyone is different; it’s about allowing yourself the space to feel what you need to feel, without judgment.
Grief is a journey, one that should not be rushed or bypassed. With support, it is possible to discover pathways forward, even amidst profound loss. Whether you're navigating life without a loved one or adjusting to a significant life change, I am here to provide strategies for coping and reassurance that you are not alone. I am dedicated to helping you process the painful emotions that arise after a bereavement.
My goal is to provide compassionate support and reassurance as you journey through the processes of coping, acceptance, and ultimately, adaptation.
